Yes — everything is included. From clay and mixed media to paints, tools and sketchbooks, there is nothing extra you need to bring.
Art can get messy — we recommend sending your child in clothes they don't mind getting creative in! We provide full-sleeve aprons for Little Sprouts, and aprons are also available for older children.
Our classes are drop-off sessions. You are welcome to help your child settle in, and after that we encourage independence and kindly ask parents to wait outside the studio. This helps children focus and build confidence in their own creative space.
Absolutely — prams and buggies are welcome upstairs in the studio.
Our sessions are led by experienced art educators and practising artists. All teachers working with children are DBS-checked, and committed to nurturing every child’s creativity and confidence.
For term-time classes we may offer fresh fruit as a light, healthy snack — always nut-free. For holiday workshops, children can bring a nut-free packed lunch, or opt in for lunch prepared by us.
We offer one make-up session per term if your child needs to miss a class. Please contact us in advance so we can arrange an alternative date.
No — our classes are kept intentionally small and priced per individual place, so we do not offer sibling discounts at this time.
Yes! We host personalised art-themed birthday parties in our studio, with creative themes and optional catering. To check availability, email contact@theartloft.uk or WhatsApp us on 07949 773 703.
Children are welcome to share what they have been working on, but all sessions follow that day's planned curriculum.
The Art Loft is a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a type of social enterprise that exists to benefit the community rather than generate private profit. This means everything we do is reinvested back into providing high quality, accessible creative education for children in Putney and the surrounding area.
